In this class students will learn how to confidently plan and execute their projects using a sewing machine. Students are encouraged to include their own creative spin on the projects.

We will utilize sewing machines, irons, hot glue guns, and possibly heat guns. Your child should be able to follow safety instructions, and be careful with hot and sharp objects. 

Sewing is is great for any gender and helps promote the following skills:

  • Fine motor skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Operating (non-digital) machines

  • 3-dimensional thinking

  • Measuring & calculation

  • Problem-solving

Supplies to bring

  • Students must bring their own fabric and thread.

  • Supply list will be emailed to participants

  • Sewing: Stuffies & Puppets
    On Sunday from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM.

    From 4/14/2024 until 6/23/2024
    10 weeks, $525

  • Sewing: Garments & Accessories
    On Sunday from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM.

    From 4/14/2024 until 6/23/2024
    10 weeks, $525

Either class is suitable for beginner or intermediate students. Projects will be adapted to suit each student’s skill level.

The minimum age to join the class is 7. Children may have varying levels of motor control. Your child should be able to follow safety instructions, and be careful with hot and sharp objects.
