Do you love manga and anime? Students in this class learn drawing skills like proportions, hairstyles, and character poses in an anime/manga style. Manga broadly refers to Japanese comics, or any comics or illustration inspired by the distinctive art style of Japanese comic creators.

Manga (8-12yrs) is recommended for beginner or intermediate artists, and covers:

• step-by-step of drawing faces and hairstyles

• step-by-step of drawing body proportions and clothing

• simple comics and/or chibi style drawings

Manga Advanced (10-15yrs) is recommended for students who already have experience practicing drawing body proportions, and can confidently draw an anime face independently without help. The Advanced class covers projects like:

• drawing bodies in complex poses

• illustrations with shading and/or backgrounds

• complex comics
